Saturday was almost a very good day, we had a winner that dead-heated and second place, a third place and a loser.

The winner was the unfancied ‘Titan Triumph’ who just got caught on the line at 16/1, so if you backed that you would have got half the SP at 8/1. The horse was over 20/1 on Betfair so at least if you backed it there you got a nice 10/1 winner.

‘Rio Royale’ could only manage 2nd place at 7/2 and then ‘Habbie Simpson’ came in third at 7/1 but did at least beat the hot favourite.

Today Ludlow has been frozen off and I am not surprised as it is well below zero where I am and it is not that far as the crow flies. Ayr and Wolverhampton do give some betting opportunities but it does not look a good day to find too many good prices.
