If you do have trouble finding winners you are far from alone. Finding winners in racing is a tough game, and while maybe one or two in a million people have no trouble, most people who say they can find you winners day in day out are lying.

Anyone who has been around racing for a long time can certainly pick winners out but how many horses do they have to select in order to find a winner or two?

This is why many people like and enjoy dutching. For the uninitiated, dutching is backing more than one horse in a race with the aim of giving yourself a better chance of making a profit.

Even though I have had a passion for racing for almost twenty years I still have periods when I wish I hadn’t bothered. That is all part of the game and if you expect to find more winners than losers then you are only deluding yourself.

You only have to follow someone like the Racing Post’s ‘Pricewise’ real name Tom Segal. He is often billed as the world’s top tipster and he really can get some cracking results too but even he does not get it right all of the time.

What you will find with ‘Pricewise’ is that he tries to find the value. In other words horses he feels are priced bigger than the respective price should be. If you follow him for even a short period he will almost certainly have more losers than winners but some of the winners could be at 14/1, 16/1, 20/1, 25/1 or more.

‘Pricewise’ is brilliant at what he does and I have no doubt he spends a huge amount of time studying the form in order to come up with his selections.

Most people do not have the time for that however, most of us have full time jobs or businesses outside of racing. There is a way all the same, assuming you are serious about finding more winners, that you can discover some proven methods and systems to significantly increase your chances of finally beating your bookie or a regular basis.
