I had hoped for a 50% strike rate yesterday, that was two wins from four races and it was close but not close enough I am afraid.

First ‘Zaplamation’ came in 2nd by a neck at 9/2, then ‘Shallow Bay’ was caught on the line beaten also by a neck at 3/1. The loser was ‘Scommettitrice’ only 6th at 9/1 and the sole winner was ‘Anton Dolin’ at 100/30.

Today does not look a good day at all and I have almost nothing that I fancy. If you have followed my daily service you will know that I very rarely have anything below 5/1. And while I do put horses on this free Blog service at shorter I do like to try and find the value.

However for a while now I have marked off horses I thought had a great chance only to discard them when I see the forecast price. So for a trial period I will be putting forward a short priced horse each day when they are available and I will initial the horse with CTC, which stands for ‘Closest Thing to Certainty’ at least in my opinion for what it’s worth.
