If you ever hear anyone say ‘It’s a dead cert’ is a highly likely to be good advice not to take any advice from them. In racing there is no such thing. While the two selections on the BLOG yesterday did not win, on Monday there were two selections on the BLOG put up to beat a so called ‘dead cert’ and they both did.

That race saw ‘Vino Griego’ go off as the 2/5 favourite, which might have well looked like a ‘dead cert’ for some people, but as I pointed out on the BLOG that race was a Beginners Chase. Taking 2/5 in a Beginners Chase is surely tantamount to madness. The two selections I picked against that hot favourite came in 1st at 5/1 and 2nd at 8/1 respectively.

Ok rant over on to today’s selections. I am a little more confident today of a winner or at least a couple going close but in this game you can never count your chickens.
