It was a blank day on the BLOG yesterday with no winners and I must admit it does not look an easy day today either.

The 2.20 at Wolverhampton looks a very close race and I will be going against the forecast 2/1 favourite ‘Sloop Johnb’ who looks beatable today and I give the outsider ‘Spic ‘N Span’ a chance at 12/1 in a race where is looks difficult to find the winner.

In the 1.30 at Southwell ‘Kinkeel’ is the 2nd favourite at 9/2 but last time out I thought the horse ran a poor race and despite his good record at this track I would prefer to back another. ‘Troodos Jet’ came 2nd in the race last year and I am going to take a chance on him in another tricky race.

The 3.40 at Folkestone looks a suitable race for some dutching if you like backing more than one in a race. I will be going against the short price favourite ‘Portrait Royale’ and despite the jockeys poor record at the course I give ‘Theophrastus’ a chance at the forecast 10/1. I am tempted to do a bit of dutching with ‘Pacco’ from Oliver Sherwood’s yard.
