A Brilliant Ride From Andrew Tinkler

By on Jan 11, 2011 in Aida Racing |

Today I was full of admiration for Andrew Tinkler who rode a superbly determined race on the mare ‘Topsham Belle’ in the 3.30 at Leicester.

The race was a four runner Novice Chase with ‘Phidippides’ going off as the 4/7 favourite, ‘Sandynow’ the 11/2 2nd favourite, ‘Teddy’s Reflection’ the 3rd favourite at 6/1 and ‘Tosham Belle’ (my selection) the 13/2 outsider.

‘Topsham Belle’ was last for almost all of the race and Andrew Tinkler was working hard on her for much of the race, cajoling her and trying to keep the mare in touch even if the commentators hardly mentioned her after a while. That is until the 2nd last when the horse stayed on to look like there was a very slim chance.

It wasn’t until the last fence that ‘Topsham Belle’ and Andrew Tinkler took second and even then the win looked most unlikely. But this never say die jockey kept pushing and the horse picked up impressively on the run in to win by half a length.

I had made the horse one of my three selections on my daily advisory service but even I was ripping up my virtual betting slip quite some way from home. One lucky Betfair user managed to get £3 on at 989/1 so I heard and they were richly rewarded.

Thanks to a really great ride from Andrew Tinkler, the in-form Nicky Henderson and a very willing mare called ‘Topsham Belle’ it was a good days racing for me.

I did actually have two winners from three on my service today with ‘Too Cool To Fool’ also battling well to win at 4/1. Unfortunately my NAP was well beaten but I will settle for 2 out of 3 any day of the week.

If you are interested in joining my Daily Advisory Service please do email me or use the Contact Form on the website to get in touch. I won’t guarantee you profits but I will promise to do my best to find you some decent winners and none of these short priced favourites either.

Good luck
