The Winner of The Welsh National is…

Firstly may I wish every reader a very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2011, I genuinely hope I can help with the third wish and I will be trying to provide plenty of winners via this blog on an almost daily basis for the next 12 months. So please do check back as often as you can.

It is the Welsh National today at Chepstow and a tricky looking race it looks too, I can see that one of the two market leaders ‘Maktu’ has claims but on this going over this marathon distance I prefer to go for a little more value.

Chepstow 1.45

No. 4 Watamu Bay – Ridden by Mr R Mahon

The horse may be carrying a little too much weight and I do have a slight concern about the level of experience of the rider, however the horse has well extremely well supported in recent race at at around 10/1 I will give him a chance in what looks a very tricky race to me.

If you are interested here are some other horses I have identified today and potential winners. They are not horses I have put on my Daily Advisory Service (there is only one of them today) but I have considered them and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a winner of two from them.

Sandown 2.05 – No.4 Far More Serious, 3.15 – No5 I’msingingtheblues, 3.45 – No.9 Heron Bay

Lingfield 1.25 No. 10 Monte Major, 2.00 No.1 Chimes

Good luck
