I have written about the Jockey’s Title race before and as of yesterday Richard Hughes closed the gap on Paul Hanagan to 6 winners and it is really still all the play for.

The pressure right now has to be on Paul Hanagan with Richard Hughes having very little to lose. If Hanagan can hold his nerve he should still win the title but if he succumbs to the pressure of Hughes gaining on him a little it could get closer yet.

Either way both men will be riding for all they are worth until the last day so I still feel both jockeys are worth following. Of course should one of them turn up and one of Blackpool beach’s donkeys then maybe a bet should be avoided. However if any of the jockey’s respective mounts look to have some form and the price is reasonable then I would consider backing them.

There is almost no doubt that both jockeys will have several more winners each over the next few days so watch out for them.
